Baylor Holds Off Late KSU Rally

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) - Lawrence Roberts scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Baylor past Kansas State 66-57 on Wednesday night.
Baylor (12-10, 3-8 Big 12) held off a late Wildcats rally to win back-to-back conference games for the first time this season, with both wins coming on the road. The Bears beat No. 16 Oklahoma State 74-72 on Saturday.
It was the 10th double-double of the season for Roberts. R.T. Guinn added 13 for Baylor.
Baylor held its biggest lead of the game at 54-40 midway through the second half before a 9-0 Kansas State run closed the gap to 54-49 with 5:35 remaining.
Marques Hayden's layup with 1:04 remaining cut the Bears' lead to four at 60-56, but the Bears hit six straight free throws in the final minute to seal the victory.
Matt Siebrandt led Kansas State with 18 points and Frank Richards scored 11.
Baylor has won four straight regular season games against Kansas State (12-12, 3-8).
While shooting 38 percent from the floor, the Bears forced 16 turnovers and made 10 3-pointers.
Despite failing to score a field goal for almost seven minutes in the first half, the Bears led 32-29 at halftime.
