Men's Netters Sweep Wichita State 7-0

WACO, TX - The No. 3 Baylor men's netters swept the Wichita State Shockers 7-0 today after moving the tennis matches to indoor courts in Ennis, Texas due to rain. The Bears now improve their winning streak to four.

In doubles, the Bears had no trouble taking on their opponents. At the No. 1 spot, Benedikt Dorsch and Reiner Neurohr defeated Wichita State's Juan Escalante and Carlo Contente by a score of 8-2. The two remaining doubles teams would follow their lead by downing their opponents. Mike Garcia and Matias Marin would defeat the Shockers Ben Cramp and Joggan Austin 8-6, while Zoltan Papp and Barry McLaren would have no problems with Jaime Rodriguez and Maximiliano Grana, 8-3.

In singles action, No. 66 Marin extended his winning streak to seven after putting away Wichita State's Rodriguez, 7-6(7-5) 7-6(7-1). Neurohr also improves his record after breezing past Contente in two sets, 6-0, 6-3. Other Bears downing their opponents were Dorsch, McLaren, Garcia and freshman Jason Gould.

The next match will be Saturday in Boulder, Colorado as the Bears take on Buffaloes, 3 p.m. central time.
