Women's Golfers In Seventh At Tournament

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - After getting rained out on Sunday, the original starting day of the tournament, Baylor finished the first round in sixth place with a 301 before falling into seventh place in round two with a 303 on Monday (301-303=604). The Bears will play the final 18 holes on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. EST.

Leading the Bears in scoring is junior Kelli McKandless who shot an even-par opening round puting her tied for 12thplace (70-78=148). Senior Hanna-Sofia Svenningsson is currently tied for 19th place (73-77=150). Senior Melanie Hagewood is tied for 22nd place after carding a two-round 151 (79-72). Freshman Josefin Svenningsson is tied for 46th place (79-76=155), and junior Michaelyn Morgan is tied at 73rd place (81-81=162).

Host Florida leads the 16-team field tournament (293-294=587) and currently holds a five-stroke advantage over second-place Tennessee (289-303=592). Dayna Burleigh (73-71=144) of Michigan State and Kristin Tamulis (71-73=144) of Florida State finished the second round tied for the individual lead.
