Williamson Takes Eighth in the 400 at USA Championships

PALO ALTO, Calif. - Darold Willimason was the first Baylor athlete to reach the finals at he 2003 USA Track and Field Championships at Stanford's Cobb Track and Angell Field. Lakadron Ivery and Jeremy Wariner also competed on the third day of the four-day meet.
After clocking the fourth-fastest 400-meter dash semifinal time of Friday, a 45.70, Williamson ran a 45.87 today to finish eighth.
Lakadron Ivery, who finished 13th in the 100 earlier in the week, ran a 24.01 in the 200 today to record the seventh-fastest preliminary time and advance to the semifinals on Sunday.
Jeremy Wariner opened competition today, clocking a 46.64 in the Junior division of the 400-meter dash. He had the second-fastest time of the day to advance to the finals on Sunday.
Angela Marvin also will compete in the Junior division, running in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Sunday.
