BRIDGETOWN, Barbados - The Pan American Junior Championships continued today at National Stadium in Bridgetown, Barbados. After clocking a 46.50 to win his semifinal heat on Friday, Baylor's Jeremy Wariner ran in the 400-meter dash finals today.
In yet another stellar race for Wariner, who recently completed his freshman season for the Bears, he came just short of the title. He finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 45.63, just .04 seconds behind Ashton Collins of Texas, who clocked a 45.59.
The two will team up for the 4x400 relay on Sunday. Baylor's Angela Marvin also will compete on Sunday, running in the 2,000-meter steeplechase.
