WACO, Texas - Baylor men's basketball head coach Scott Drew announced the completion of his staff Wednesday with the hiring of Stephen Brough as director of basketball operations.

"Stephen has developed a reputation as one of the hardest workers in college basketball," Drew said. "He has been very successful in programs such as Miami (Ohio) and Wright State. Stephen also provides the strong Christian values that our staff is looking for."

Brough comes to Baylor from Wright State, where he spent the last year as an assistant coach on the Raiders' staff. Brough's responsibilities focused on recruiting, where his efforts led to Wright State's 2003 signing class being named among the top 40 in the nation by HoopScoopOnline.com.

Prior to his time at Wright State, Brough served six years at his alma mater, Miami (Ohio). While an undergraduate student, he worked as a student manager with the men's basketball team and then as an administrative assistant, arranging travel plans and assisting with scouting reports.

In July 2000, he moved into a position as assistant coach with Miami's women's team, a role he served in for two seasons before heading to Wright State.

A native of Toledo, Ohio, Brough received his bachelor's degree in accounting and organizational behavior from Miami in 1996. He went on to earn his master's in teaching (secondary education) in 1999, also from Miami.
