Volleyball's LeBlanc Named Academic All-District

WACO, Texas - Baylor sophomore right-side hitter Nicole LeBlanc (Tampa, Fla.) was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District VI third-team, released by the organization Thursday.
LeBlanc has a 3.5 GPA majoring in social work and ranks second on the team with 3.01 kills per game and a .212 attack percentage. She also ranks third on the team with 2.56 digs and 1.03 blocks per game. LeBlanc has started all 51 matches in her career and has rested only two games.
In the opening match of the season, LeBlanc posted a career-high 28 kills against Texas-Arlington, tying for the highest mark in the Big 12 Conference this year. Last year as a freshman, LeBlanc registered a career-high 12 blocks against Houston, the second-highest single-match total in Baylor history.
During her freshman season, LeBlanc hit .309 to rank ninth in the Big 12 and was just outside the top 10 in blocks with 0.98 per game. She was also named to the Big 12 Commissioner's honor roll.
