LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Texas Tech (17-4, 5-2 Big 12) used a 13-2 run early in the second half to pull away from a halftime tie. The Red Raiders hit eight of their first 11 shots, outscoring Baylor 21-8 in the first 7 minutes of the second half.
Andre Emmett scored 25 points for the Red Raiders, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Emmett, who leads the Big 12 in scoring with a 21-point average, had lackluster performances against Oklahoma State (13 points) and Texas (nine points) last week. He was 9-of-17 from the field and pulled down nine rebounds against Baylor.
Ronald Ross scored 22 points and Mikey Marshall added 11 for the Red Raiders.
Matt Sayman had 14 points and Terrance Thomas added 13 for the Bears (6-14, 1-6), who lost for the eighth time in nine.
Texas Tech took a 21-10 lead by hitting on nine of its first 11 shots. Baylor answered with a 20-6 run to go up by three with 4:37 left in the half.
