Several Bears Playing in Summer Leagues

WACO, Texas - A total of 21 current Baylor baseball players are participating in summer collegiate leagues this year, including 10 players in the prestigious Cape Cod League and three players in the first-year Texas Collegiate League.
The Cape begins play Thursday and is the last of the seven leagues in which Bears are participating to begin its 2004 campaign.
Rising sophomore right-handed pitcher Jeff Mandel tossed a no-hitter last week in his first appearance for the Hays Larks of the Jayhawk League in Kansas. Mandel struck out 10 and walked four in the seven-inning affair against Elkhart.
