2003 (FRESHMAN)

HIGH SCHOOL
•Hit .300 with five home runs and 34 RBI as a senior at Midway High School in Waco, Texas, where he played for coach Tom Gladney

•Those numbers came after a .311, seven-homer, 30-RBI junior season that also included a 7-3 record and 1.79 ERA, with 85 strikeouts in 54.2 innings
