WACO, Texas - Baylor men's basketball coach Scott Drew announced the team's 2004-2005 schedule Monday. Drew also said the arrival of incoming freshman Mamadou Diene, a native of Yeumbeul, Senegal, has been delayed until the conclusion of the fall semester. Baylor's 2004-2005 schedule is highlighted by road games at former Southwest Conference foe SMU and Big Ten member Purdue, as well as the grueling 16-game Big 12 Conference slate. The 28-game schedule includes a total of 14 games vs. teams that participated in postseason last year. Local Bear fans can catch 17 games at the Ferrell Center, highlighted by contests against Kansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas. Fans outside of Waco can see the Bears in Austin, College Station, Dallas (SMU) and Lubbock, as well as the out-of-state games. The Bears tip off the regular season Nov. 22 against Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College at the Ferrell Center. Baylor will not play any exhibition games this season. A complete schedule is listed below. Diene's arrival to Baylor has been delayed for personal reasons, Drew said. The 7-foot freshman from Africa will likely miss only four games before joining the Bears following the fall semester, similar to sophomore transfer Tim Bush.
