Volleyball to Hold Green-Gold Game

WACO, Texas - The Baylor volleyball team will play its annual Green-Gold Game Saturday at the Ferrell Center at 4 p.m. The scrimmage is free and open to the public. Fans will get their first look of the team under first-year head coach Jim Barnes. The Bears return three starters from a year ago in junior setter Emily Huston (Santa Rosa, Calif.) and sophomore middle blockers Desiree Guilliard-Young (Berkeley, Calif.) and Nicole LeBlanc (Tampa, Fla.). Other returning letterwinners include junior outside hitters Stella Odion (Houston, Texas) and Kelly Spriggs (Houston, Texas). The Bears open the 2004 campaign on the road at Texas-Arlington Wednesday at 7 p.m., before traveling to the Magnolia Invitational hosted by Ole Miss Friday and Saturday. Baylor hosts Texas-Pan American in its home opener Wednesday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m.
