WACO, Texas-Following a weekend that saw her make twenty saves against a pair of nationally-ranked opponents, goalkeeper Ashley Holder was named to the Soccer Buzz National Elite Team of the Week the website announced.
Holder, who also earned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors, made 12 saves in a 1-0 loss to Texas A&M before making eight stops in a 2-1 Baylor win over No. 22 Texas.
The native of Roseville, Calif., was one of two freshman selected to the squad and joined Nebraska's Brittany Timko as the only Big 12 Conference players to make the team.
