Recap | Final Stats | Notes

Coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson

On the game: "The point guards played a heck of a floor game and Blackmon came out of her shell, they are to be comended for their play. The crowd was outstanding again. We are going to start putting more pressure on their guards because we have the perimeter quickness and we have got to use more people on the perimeter. I thought the last time we played and a lot of times when we do play we allow them to see too much of the floor so we are going to step up the pressure. We have allowed them to be coached from the sideline and not worry the ball handler. We are going to start worrying the ball handler now."

On Blackmon: "It is like when shooters have a bad night, you tell them to keep plugging away, you don't over-emphasize it."

Senior Post Steffanie Blackmon

On Second half: "I just tried to keep my head in the game. Chelsea (Whitaker) kept driving and giving me good kick outs to get some good looks. Any win in the Big 12 is a good win, so this was important."

Senior Guard Chelsea Whitaker

On Game: "You have to defend your home court. We have to step up and be ready for every game, because every game is so important in this league."
