Baylor looks to bounce back from a tough loss as it hits the road to face Texas A&M Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at G. Rollie White Coliseum in College Station, Texas.
Both the Bears and Aggies held 2-0 leads Saturday, before Baylor lost in five games at home to No. 20 Kansas State and Texas A&M lost in five at home to Colorado.
The Bears are led by junior outside hitter Nicole LeBlanc, who leads the team with 3.72 kills per game and is second on the team with 2.81 digs per game. Sophomore libero Kristen Schramek leads Baylor defensively with 3.82 digs per game, while junior middle blocker Desiree Guilliard-Young is averaging 1.52 blocks per game.
Laura Jones leads the Aggies with 5.77 kills per game and is second on the team with 3.08 digs per game. Holly Clay leads Texas A&M defensively with 4.13 digs per game.
Texas A&M leads the all-time series against Baylor, 43-7, including the last 11 in a row. The Aggies are 22-1 against the Bears in College Station, with Baylor's only victory coming in 1992. No. 14 Texas A&M swept Baylor in the last meeting Nov. 3, 2004, at the Ferrell Center. Melissa Munsch and Laura Jones had 17 kills each for the Aggies, while Desiree Guilliard-Young led Baylor with 11 kills and Kelly Spriggs and Stella Odion had 10 apiece.
Baylor returns to action and begins the second half of Big 12 play when it hosts Kansas Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Ferrell Center.
