BAYLOR (14-11, 5-8 Big 12) at No. 14 Texas (17-3, 11-2 Big 12)
Saturday, Nov. 5 - 6:30 p.m.
Gregory Gym - Austin, Texas

Baylor will take the short trip down I-35 to face 14th-ranked Texas Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Gregory Gym in Austin. The Bears have never beaten the Longhorns on the road and Texas is a perfect 6-0 at home this season.

Baylor had its four-match winning streak snapped by Texas A&M in four games Wednesday night at home, while Texas has won five straight and 11 of its last 12 after Tuesday's non-conference sweep of Texas State on the road. The Longhorns won this year's previous meeting, 3-1, Oct. 8 in Waco.

The Bears are led by junior outside hitter Nicole LeBlanc, who ranks eighth in the Big 12 with 3.68 kills per game and 12th in the league with 2.95 digs per game. LeBlanc has recorded seven straight double-doubles following her 16-kill, 11-dig effort against the Aggies. Sophomore libero Kristen Schramek ranks seventh in the conference with 3.67 digs per game, while junior Desiree Guilliard-Young ranks second with 1.82 blocks per game in Big 12 play.

Texas is led by Dariam Acevedo, who averages 3.52 kills per game, Leticia Armstrong (3.33 kills per game) and Brandy Magee (3.28 kills per game). Armstrong also ranks fifth in the conference with 1.43 blocks per game, while Alyson Jennings ranks eighth with 3.64 digs per game.

Texas leads the all-time series against Baylor, 54-2, including a perfect mark of 25-0 at home. The Longhorns have won the last seven meetings, including this year's 3-1 decision Oct. 8 in Waco. The Bears' last victory over the Longhorns was in five games Oct. 27, 2001.

Starting with Texas, Baylor consecutively plays the top four teams in the Big 12 and could potentially face four straight ranked opponents, pending the release of Monday's AVCA/CSTV Coaches Poll. The Bears return to action when they travel to take on No. 13 Missouri Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Mo.
