When did you start playing your sport?
I started playing basketball at the age of 7.

Who has had the greatest impact on your career?
My High School coach, Leonard Bishop.

What is the best part of being a college athlete?
Competing with other players day in and day out that are good.

If you weren't playing the sport you are now, which sport would you want to play?
I would probably be playing football. I really love football a lot.

What is your nickname on the team and why?
My nickname is K.P. My last name was Perry but it changed to Shipman because my mom and dad got married but they always just call me K.P., so I just stick with it.

After meeting coach Drew, what was you first thought?
My first thought was that he was a good guy and that he was honest.

If you could play a different position, what would it be?
I would like to play Center because you get a lot of touches, post touches and you're close to the basket and it's an easy way to make a shot.

What is the most unique item in your locker?
Playstation, I love to play playstation. If I'm not practicing or doing homework or working on school, I'm on the playstation.

Who are your favorite sports heroes?
First Michael Jordan, and the person I idol is Richard Hamilton for the Detroit Pistons

What athlete did you imitate when you were a kid?
Michael Jordan

Where is your favorite place to go after a game/event?
Quiznos or Subway, something healthy

What is the best venue you have ever played in?
In High School we were in Austin and we played our national championship there

What is the highlight of your sports career?
Being around the college athletes and getting to know new people every day.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
In high school when I tried to dunk and I got hung and the ball was lower than the rim so I fell and the whole crowd laughed at me.

What opposing school do you most look forward to competing against?
Texas A&M and Texas

Why did you choose to attend Baylor?
I chose Baylor because of the head coach and the coaching staff because they are all honest, also academically.

What's the most important thing you've learned as a Baylor athlete?
Being able to compete against people every night-- In high school I didn't really compete as hard as I did in college.

What has been your favorite class at Baylor?
British Literature

What single thing will you most miss about Baylor when you leave?
The people I really love the people here. They're nice and honest.

Who is your all-time favorite Baylor athlete?
He played football, Mike Singletary, He came up and talked to us and he gave us a lot of tips in order to succeed in life.

What CD is in your player right now?
I got a little Young Jeezy, a little Wayne

What is the last movie you watched?
Jarhead

What is one thing you must pack when traveling?
My basketball, I love to shoot around before a game

As a role model to young athletes, what advice can you give?
Everyday just get better because you never know the next person could be better than you. Everyday work at it if you want to succeed in it

What is your favorite fast food?
Taco Bell

What is the biggest challenge you have had to overcome?
Being a smaller player, I'd say developing my quickness and ability to compete against the bigger players

Name one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you.
I'm scared of spiders

Name one thing you can't go a week without.
Sunflower seeds

What is your dream job?
Actually play in the NBA, play for money by playing basketball

What's your most valued possession?
My grandfather's ring, before he died my grandmother gave it to me and I will always keep it with me

What do you consider the all-time greatest moment in sports?
The day that Michael Jordan retired
