The Baylor women's golf team will be making its sixth straight NCAA Women's Championships appearance Thursday through Saturday at the Central Regional at The Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas.

The Bears finished fifth at the 2004 Central Regional to earn the program's first-ever trip to the NCAA Championships. Junior Josefin Svenningsson took third at the regional to lead the Bears last year and is coming off a sixth-place finish at the Big 12 Championships.

Junior Meredith Jones tied for 49th, while sophomore Anna Rehnholm tied for 45th at last year's regional, while freshman Sian Reddick and junior Sherry Summers will be making their first appearances in the championships.

The East Regional is being held at the University of Florida Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla., while the West Regional is being played at the New Mexico State University Golf Course in Las Cruces, N.M. The top eight teams and two individuals from each of the three 21-team regionals advance to the NCAA Championships May 17-20 at Sunriver Resort in Corvallis, Ore.
