FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Baylor track & field team will compete for the second time during the indoor season as it travels to the Razorback Invitational hosted by Arkansas Friday and Saturday at Randal Tyson Track Center, site of the 2006 NCAA Indoor Championships.

The Bears opened the season with a solid performance last week at the Houston Indoor Opener, claiming victories in six events. Freshman Charity Williams (Corpus Christi, Texas) led the Bears to a 1-2-3 finish in the mile, sophomore Lyndsy Bedell (Plano, Texas) won the 3,000 meters and sophomore Brittany Devereaux (Denton, Texas) set the school record in winning the weight throw. The women also claimed relay victories in the 4x400 and distance medley. Senior Chris Gillis (Pennsauken, N.J.) notched the men's only victory in the long jump.

Senior Jerome Miller (Houston, Texas) posted a solid NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 55-meter hurdles, while freshman Jacob Norman (Temple, Texas) had a provisional mark in the 55-meter dash.

The meet begins with the heptathlon Friday at 12 p.m. and the final event of the night is the women's distance medley relay at 8:10. Saturday's action starts with the completion of the heptathlon at 11 a.m. and finishes up with the women's 4x400-meter relay at 5:10 p.m.
