Baylor Head Coach Scott Drew
On Oklahoma:
"I have to credit Oklahoma for playing well and shooting well but the news I heard all night is that Gray, Everett and Bookout won't play next year."
On Problems:
"I think we had a two-fold problem. There were bad shots and when you get down and try to shoot quicker it leads to bad shots. When you're off on the offense then you get down on the defense and one thing just compounds into the other. We just have to get better. When the game spread gets out of control it hurts us offensively and defensively. We have to find a way not to let people get up on us and that is mainly due to turnovers."
Baylor Guard Patrick Fields
On Energy:
"I thought we came out with good energy. We just have to maintain it. We can't get complacent. It's like that every game. We have to play a whole game. We are not a good enough team to come out and only play for 30 minutes."
On Upsets:
"Every game we start thinking about the upset because every game (we win) is an upset but we can't make the upset if we don't play hard. We have more to give and when we come out and give our all, we will come out with a victory."
On the Offense:
"It's very frustrating. I believe that if you play hard on both ends, shots will fall. We are not good enough offensively to think we are going to make every shot we throw up. We have to be persistent."
Baylor Guard Curtis Jerrells
On Effort:
"Everybody's got to give more effort. We knew that they were capable of playing better than their stats showed but they got open and got some good looks. It was frustrating from the start. Until we improve we can't walk off the floor feeling happy."
Oklahoma Head Coach Kelvin Sampson
On Terrell Everett:
"He is the best shooter on our team. He wasn't healthy earlier in the season. A shooter needs his legs and he just did not have them then. He is a great player. He played great tonight."
On Kevin Bookout:
"There is a physical type of courage and Kevin showed that tonight. There are not too many players that would have played tonight. We are so proud to have him represent our program. He showed his heart tonight and that was a great performance."
Kevin Bookout
On game:
"Coach Darby did a great job of getting us into shape this season. I am in the best shape of my life so that makes games a lot easier. I don't care how many points I score as long as we win. My wrist did not bother me tonight. I am just going to have to get used to playing with a cast."
