In its last match, Baylor breezed through the first game but Texas A&M turned the tables and won the last three games Wednesday night at the Ferrell Center. Breyfogle led the Bears with 13 kills and freshman outside hitter Katie Sanders (Katy, Texas) added 10. LeBlanc led Baylor with 13 digs, while sophomore Amanda Renz (The Woodlands, Texas) added 10.
Kansas is led by Jana Correa, who ranks eighth in the Big 12 with 4.18 kill per game, while Emily Brown and Savannah Noyes each average more than three kills per game. Jamie Mathewson ranks 10th in the conference with 3.60 digs per game.
In their last match, the Jayhawks snapped a five-match losing streak with a four-game victory over intrastate rival Kansas State Wednesday in Lawrence. Saturday's match marks the 24th meeting between Baylor and Kansas, with the Bears leading the all-time series, 14-9. The two schools have split each of the last two season series, with each team holding serve at home both times. The Jayhawks hold a 6-5 lead in the series in Lawrence. Baylor won the last meeting in four games on Oct. 22, 2005, in Waco.
