WACO, Texas - Baylor tips off its 2006-07 men's basketball season Saturday, Nov. 4, at noon CST with an exhibition contest vs. Texas A&M-Commerce at the Ferrell Center.
In an effort to accommodate fans that don't want to miss Baylor's televised football game that day, the video screens in the Ferrell Center will show the Baylor-Texas Tech gridiron contest that begins at 11 a.m. throughout the basketball game.
"We want Baylor fans to be able to enjoy a double-feature of both the basketball and football games," Drew said, "so we've decided to air the football game on the video boards during our exhibition game. This should give Bear fans a perfect chance to see both games."
Baylor's football kickoff time was set at 11 a.m. to accommodate television on Fox Sports Net, and the previously scheduled basketball game was unable to be moved due to a volleyball match Saturday night.
A Select-A-Seat promotion will be held during the first half and halftime of the exhibition Saturday. Fans will have an opportunity to select available season ticket locations marked by seat tags.
Tickets for Saturday's game are available for adults from $10 to $15 and $7 for youth. Baylor's athletic ticket office numbers are 800-BAYLOR-U and 254-710-1000.
The Bears open the regular-season Nov. 11 by hosting Angelo State at 7 p.m. in the Ferrell Center.
