LINCOLN, Neb. - Baylor senior right-side hitter Nicole LeBlanc (Tampa, Fla.) hit .500 with 11 kills and seven digs as the Bears were swept by No. 1 Nebraska, 3-0 (30-17, 30-20, 30-22) in Big 12 volleyball action Saturday afternoon at Nebraska Coliseum.
Freshman middle blocker Anna Breyfogle (Buda, Texas) added nine kills, while freshman setter Taylor Barnes (Arlington, Texas) had six kills, 29 assists and five digs. Junior libero Kristen Schramek (San Antonio, Texas) led the Bears (18-13, 6-12 Big 12) with 11 digs.
Nebraska (25-1, 17-1) clinched a share of the Big 12 title and were led by Sarah Pavan, who had 23 kills and eight digs. Jordan Larson chipped in with 11 kills and seven assists, while Dani Mancuso had 10 kills. Dani Busboom led the Huskers with a match-high 16 digs, while Rachel Schwartz added 11 and Rachel Holloway had 10.
Nebraska hit .450 for the match, while holding Baylor to a .186 hitting percentage. The Huskers outdug the Bears, 55-40, and outblocked them, 4-3.
The Bears return to action in their final road match of the season against Colorado Wednesday at 8 p.m. CST at Coors Events/Conference Center in Boulder, Colo.
