MANHATTAN, Kan. - Baylor struggled with its service game and serve receive as Kansas State took advantage in a 3-0 (30-24, 30-20, 30-23) victory Wednesday night at Ahearn Field House.
Freshman middle blocker Anna Breyfogle (Buda, Texas) led the Bears (16-12, 4-11 Big 12) with 11 kills and six blocks, while senior middle blocker Desiree Guilliard-Young (Berkeley, Calif.) added 10 kills and five blocks. Senior outside hitter Deja Sweeney (Sacramento, Calif.) led the Bears with seven digs.
Megan Kroeker led Kansas State (10-16, 2-14) with 12 kills, while Megan Farr had 10. Lauren Rosenthal had a match-high 10 digs for the Wildcats.
Kansas State hit .282, while holding Baylor to .210 for the match. The Bears outdug the Wildcats, 35-32, and both teams had 11.0 blocks. The difference in the match came from the service line where Kansas State had 10 aces and six errors, while Baylor had two aces and 12 errors.
