Men's Tennis Selected for Indoor Championships

WACO, Texas - Baylor's men's tennis team has been selected to participate in the 2007 USTA/ITA National Men's Team Indoor Championships hosted by the University of Illinois at the Midtown Tennis Club in Chicago February 16-19 (Friday-Monday).
Fourteen schools have been selected based on the voting from the preseason national team rankings (in alphabetical order): Baylor, Duke, Georgia, Illinois, Miami, Mississippi, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn, Pepperdine, Stanford, Texas, UCLA and Virginia. Two more teams will be added in January after the Central and Mountain regions conduct their play-in tournaments.
Baylor's selection to the tournament is the program's fifth straight National Team Indoor Championship appearance and sixth overall. The Bears' first trip to the tournament was in 2000 and they have competed in the championship every year since 2003. Baylor claimed the tournament's championship in 2005.
