Katie Shaw Joins Track/Cross Country Teams

WACO, Texas - Katie Shaw has signed to run for the Baylor track & field and cross country teams, head track & field and cross country coach Todd Harbour announced Monday.
"Katie is an outstanding young lady and exemplifies everything that we look for in a student-athlete," Harbour said. "She will bring some strong leadership qualities to an outstanding freshman class."
Shaw, a Cleburne, Texas native, was coached by Baylor alum Richard Naylor and graduated from Cleburne High School.
She was a two-time district cross country champion and two-time all-state performer and was also a two-time district champion and two-time state qualifier on the track. Shaw ran personal best times of 11:03 in the 3,200 meters and 5:07 in the 1,600 meters this year and earned the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Tom Landry Award for the Ft. Worth area.
