BAYLOR HEAD COACH Kim Mulkey
On the game:
"They out-coached us and out-played us. We were lucky to win.
On the play of Jhasmin Player:
"Thank God for Jhasmin Player. She was not hesitant out there. She was not afraid out there. It starts with your point guard and she gave us valuable minutes at whatever we asked her to do."
BAYLOR GUARD Jhasmin Player
On the game:
"It's so unfair to expect Tisdale and Mosby to come out and have big nights. I'm not going to have game like this every night. I just had a lay-up drill in there."
On Missouri:
"That's a good team in that locker room. As important as this game was to us, it was just as important to them."
MISSOURI HEAD COACH CINDY STEIN
On Baylor's home court advantage:
"This is one of the toughest places to play in the country. We did everything we could to win the game, but the crowd really got into it and gave them a lift. They did a good job backing their Bears."
On Baylor's defense making 14 steals:
"They're really good athletes, and they were denying the passing lanes. It makes it hard to get the ball in to the post when they're doing that."
On not getting the shot she wanted on the final shot:
"Our spacing was bad. We had plenty of time, it was just some miscommunication with how much time was left."
MISSOURI GUARD ALYSSA HOLLINS
On their run during the second half:
"We were just believing in each other and passing the ball really well. Getting stops on defense made it easy to get on a roll. It shows that we can play with the top teams in the country."
MISSOURI FORWARD EETISHA RIDDLE
On playing Baylor close last season and again this year:
"It was kind of reminiscent of last year. We didn't shoot well early, but shots were falling for us in the second half."
