Baylor's equestrian team suffered another road loss when they dropped a 20-4 decision to Oklahoma State at the Animal Science Arena on the Stillwater campus on Saturday.
The Cowgirls downed the Bears 10-2 in English riding and 10-2 in Western competition. Nicole Brown, a junior from Zionsville, Ind., earned her fourth MVP honor of the season when she scored 82 points in Equitation Over Fences. Mary Smitson, a sophomore, also from Zionsville, Ind., earned Baylor's other point in Fences.
In Western competition, sophomore Valtie Riddle (Tucumcari, N.M.) tallied 68.5 points in her ride to lead earn one of two Baylor points in reining. Freshman Katie Buss (Concrete, Wash.) tallied 66 points on her mount to score a point for the Bears.
The team now returns to Waco to prepare for an October 21 meet against Texas A&M in College Station.
