Associate A.D. Tom Hill Inducted Into Cedarville Athletic Hall of Fame

Cedarville University will add five new members to its Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday in festivities during the school's Alumni Weekend, Feb. 2-3, including Tom In addition to Hill, a men's cross country and track standout at the Ohio school, the elite list includes former women's volleyball coach Teresa Clark; Angela Hartman, a two-sport standout in volleyball and tennis; men's tennis star Jeff Kohl; and Joyce Reese, who will be honored for meritorious service.
Hill was a four-year distance runner for the Yellow Jackets in cross country and track from 1982 through 1987. He was an NAIA Indoor All-American in 1986 after placing 2nd in the 2-mile run.
Hill was a four-time NCCAA outdoor track champion including wins in the 5,000 meters in 1984 and 1987. He claimed the 10K championship in 1984 and his 1986 NCCAA title in the 1,500 meters in 3:51.16 was a meet record at the time. The school's Yellow Jacket Club named him its 1986 Male Athlete of the Year.
A 1987 graduate of Cedarville College with a degree in mathematics, Hill earned a masters in sports administration from Baylor University in 1989. He is in his 18th year at Baylor where he presently serves as an associate athletic director. He is heavily involved in the local community and has directed eight international missions trips. Tom and his wife, Kristin, reside in Waco, Texas, with their three children.
Cedarville University is an accredited, Christ-centered Baptist university of arts, sciences, professional and graduate programs. The school, which has an enrollment of approximately 3,100 students, is located in southwestern Ohio, 25 miles east of Dayton.
