ARLINGTON, Texas -- Ben Booker homered, doubled and drove in three runs as Baylor scored two runs in five different innings en route to a 10-2 victory over Texas-Arlington in Tuesday night's action at Clay Gould Ballpark. Baylor (16-11) has won seven straight against UTA (9-19).

Baylor has won 11 consecutive Tuesday games, dating back to last season. The Bears also posted their first win on an opponent's home field since April 29, 2006, at Missouri, snapping a six-game skid in such games. Texas-Arlington has lost nine straight.

Matt Sodolak got the scoring started for Baylor with a two-run single in the first. The Bears got two more runs in the second on Booker's RBI double and Beamer Weems' sacrifice fly. The two-run first and two-run second produced the offensive banister Baylor's pitching staff needed on the night.

Booker pushed the Bears' lead to 6-0 in the fourth with a two-run homer down the left-field line; it was Booker's first round-tripper of the season.

UTA got a run in the bottom of the fourth thanks to Collin Garner's bases-loaded walk. An extended fourth innings forced Baylor starter Wade Mackey out of the game. Mackey, who did not factor in the decision, allowed one run on three hits and four walks with three strikeouts over 4.0 innings.

William Draper, the first of four Baylor relievers earned the victory, the first of his career. Draper (1-0) walked two and struck out two in 2.0 scoreless innings. Aaron Williams, Willie Kempf and Cliff Springston each logged an inning of work to close out the game for the Bears. Williams surrendered a run, while Kempf and Springston struck out two and three, respectively.

Paul Miles' two-run single in the sixth, Kenton Gedwed's RBI single in the eighth and Tim Jackson's sacrifice fly in the eighth closed out the scoring for the Bears.

Shaver Hansen finished 2-for-3 with a walk and three runs scored for Baylor. Miles and Sodolak had two RBI each.

UTA starter Kendal Carrillo (0-2) took the loss, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks in 1.0 inning of work.

Baylor returns to action this weekend, traveling to Stillwater, Okla., for a three-game series at No. 14 Oklahoma State. The Bears and the Cowboys meet Friday at 6:30 p.m. CDT, Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. The series finale will be televised live on FSN Southwest.
