WACO, Texas - Mariana Blum tallied a match-high 20 kills and Oklahoma had five players reach double-figures in kills as the Sooners rallied from a game down to defeat Baylor 3-1 (27-30, 30-26, 30-22, 30-23) on Saturday night at the Ferrell Center.
After dropping the first game to the Bears, Oklahoma recorded 22 and 21 kills in games two and four, respectively, to win three straight games and seal the win. The Sooners (11-2, 4-0 Big 12) stay undefeated in Big 12 action, winning their fourth-straight conference match.
Baylor (8-6, 1-3 Big 12) got double-figure kills from Katie Sanders (Katy, Texas) and Ashlie Christenson (Cleburne, Texas) who recorded 15 and 12 kills, respectively.
Amanda Modglin (Houston, Texas) and Haley Thomas (Jewett, Texas) tallied nine kills apiece for the Bears. Sanders and Sarah Grace (Houston, Texas) tied for match-high honors with 22 digs.
Baylor outblocked Oklahoma 10.5-8, but the Sooners recorded 76 digs to the Bears' 72 digs.
The Bears got out to an early 1-0 lead, hitting .417 to win game one, but the Bears offense sputtered in games three (.082) and four (.149) as Oklahoma closed out the match.
Baylor will remain at home as the Bears play host to Texas A&M on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Ferrell Center.
