Baylor Head Coach Scott Drew:

On tonight's game:

"We wanted to make [tonight's game] exciting. The team showed their togetherness and heart. In the second half, being down and finding a way to win is a sign of a team with experience, good leadership and a lot of courage."

On the significance of this game:

"Our whole team knew the importance of this game. Give a lot of credit to Missouri, they played a great game. Defensively, we just weren't very sharp for 25 minutes of the game. In the last 15 minutes we did a much better job blocking out."

On the significance of this game:

"Nationally, people look at a 20 win season as a pretty big deal. That is why when a team can reach a 20 win season, it is something to obviously be proud of. At the same time, I don't think anyone says that they just want to win 20 [games], and the good thing is we have a lot of basketball left."

On the contribution of Baylor's big men:

"Well I think our bigs always have an impact on the game with the standpoint that a lot of times they create advantages with their screens and their play. I thought today they did a great job finishing and scoring inside."

Baylor guard Tweety Carter:

On attaining 20 wins for the season:

"You have to give credit to God for bringing us together. A lot of us had other opportunities to go to other schools and play for other coaches; when Coach Drew recruited us, he told us that one day it would be a special day for us at Baylor. We need to continue to get better. [20-8] is a great start for us, but we just need to continue to get better."

On defensive effort in the 2nd half:

"We played with effort. The first half we came out and we didn't look like we had the energy defensively. Starting with me, I wasn't energetic out there like I normally am until the second half. It has to be a 40 minute thing, so we have to continue to get better at that."

Baylor forward Kevin Rogers:

On being down 13 early in the 2nd half:

"This team, we have been through so much we were just thinking in our heads that there is just too much time left. Early leads mean nothing. We were able to come out and execute and play how we know how to play. Any lead is easy to break into, we just need to slow ourselves down and get back to the basics and get stops and score."

Baylor forward Delbert Simpson:

On scoring a career high:

"It was a great day for me but a better day for our team. I contributed to the team where I feel like I could help out today. I want to win, and the team wants to win. We are a family."

On Baylor's rebounding in the 2nd half:

"That was a major thing. With this game in particular, we had to come in and hit the boards to be victorious."

Missouri Head Coach Mike Anderson:

"It was an offensive display, when you look at the score. I thought they adjusted well to things we were doing. I think this game is a game of runs and you want to have the run at the right time and they had a big run to finish off the game."

On Baylor's bench:

"In the end I thought their bench out played our bench."

On the end of the game:

"(Curtis) Jerrells got a big three pointer and then they come down and Tweety (Carter) gets a three. They made plays, give them credit. They did the job of withstanding and ended the game the right way."

On possibly playing Baylor in the Big 12 tournament:

"I think we will play better defense. Everybody says it is tough on the road, you got to make plays on the road. We came to win this game and we were right there. I thought a few plays we broke down. We didn't do things in terms of executing defensively."

Missouri Forward DeMarre Carroll:

"Their guards are good, that is their focal point. We just did not guard them well as a team. I am not going to put the blame on our guards, but we just did not guard them well as a team."

Missouri Forward Leo Lyons:

"They've got quick guards. Actually I think they've got the best guards we have played all year. They are quick, and they can shoot the ball. So you really can't guard them. In my opinion, I think they are the best guards in the Big 12."

On Baylor's defense in the second half:

"They started doubling the post, so we lost the game right there."
