Leadership Academy

WACO, Texas - Baylor's Leadership Academy recently announced its inaugural graduating class at the Athletic Department's Annual Awards Banquet. Sixteen student-athletes completed the Veteran Leaders program while 23 underclassmen completed the Emerging Leaders program.

The Leadership Academy was formed to provide Baylor's student-athletes comprehensive leadership programming with the goal of developing them as effective and vocal leaders for today and successful worldwide leaders for tomorrow. All Leadership Academy members are appointed by their head coach and must complete a year-long program in order to earn graduate status.

The awards presentation was the culmination of the Academy's initial year.

"For a first-year program, I thought the Leadership Academy was a great success." said Paul Bradshaw, Associate Athletics Director and Director of the Leadership Academy. "The feedback we received from coaches and student-athletes was very positive and we hope to build upon this initial year."
