COLUMBUS, Ohio - Tiffany Townsend won the women's 200 meters and Marcus Boyd finished second in the men's 400 meters on the final day of competition at the USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Townsend, a four-time All-American, clocked 23.60 into a 2.4 meters per second headwind to win the 200 meters.
Boyd, who ran on both of Baylor's championship 4x400-meter relays this year, clocked 46.02 to finish in second place in the men's 400 meters. O'Neal Wilder of Mississippi State won the event in 45.62.
Nichole Jones placed fourth in the women's 1,500 meters. The sophomore recorded a time of 4:21.99, her second-fastest time of the year.
Baylor returns to action next weekend as select track athletes and former Baylor standouts will compete in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, Ore.
