SCOUTING THE CYCLONES
• Ranked in the top 10 in the NCAA, No. 9 Iowa State is led by head coach Christy Johnson-Lynch, who has compiled a 95-56 record in four-plus seasons. Johnson-Lynch led the Cyclones to the Elite Eight in 2008.
• ISU boasts one of the best back-row defenses in the conference, ranking first in the Big 12 in digs with 17.67 per set. Ashley Mass, who has been the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week four times this season, ranks first in the Big 12 in digs with 5.15 per set.
• Victoria Henson is the go-to option on offense, ranking third in the Big 12 with 4.14 kills per set, while Rachel Hockaday boasts the 10th best average at 3.23 k/s. • The Cyclones put up a formidable block with the second best average in the Big 12 at 2.72 blocks per set. Jamie Straube's 1.18 average and Debbie Stadick's 1.08 average lead the way.
• Iowa State, undefeated at home, enters on an eight-match win streak, including a road win at No. 5 Nebraska.

LAST TIME AGAINST IOWA STATE
No. 24 Baylor got a triple-double from senior Taylor Barnes and controlled the match in a 3-0 sweep (25-23, 25-19, 33-31) over No. 11 Iowa State at the Ferrell Center, the highest ranked team Baylor has ever defeated.
Barnes, the setter, spread the ball to Ashlie Christenson, Torri Campbell, and took some of the offense on her own shoulders with a season-high 10 kills. Barnes dished out 39 assists, and along with her 10 kills and 11 digs, recorded the first triple-double of the season for Baylor. Christenson had 11 kills, while Campbell added 10.
On defense, Baylor was nearly perfect, racking up a three-set season high of 79 digs, including five in double figures. Allison King continued her streak of matches with at least 10 digs to 11, chalking up a team-high 17. Sanders added 16, while Barnes, Caitlyn Trice and Jordan Rice had 11, 12, and 10, respectively. Three Bears recorded six blocks in the match, including Breyfogle, Campbell and Elizabeth Graham.

LAST TIME OUT
No. 23 Baylor got a career-high 14 kills from Elizabeth Graham and came back from down a set to beat Kansas State 3-1 (18-25, 25-16, 25-18, 30-28) in Manhattan, Kan. on Saturday night. Baylor dropped the first set 25-18, but shredded the Kansas State defense for the next two sets before grinding out a 30-28 fourth-set win. The fourth set featured 19 ties and 13 lead changes, and saw Baylor turn away KSU set points on three separate occasions with big kills from Torri Campbell and Katie Sanders.
Along with Graham, Sanders and Campbell each had 14 kills, while middle blocker Anna Breyfogle racked up 13 kills with a .458 hitting percentage and added seven blocks. The quartet combined for 55 of Baylor's 67 kills in the match. The Bears hit .256 as a team with those 67 kills and just 24 errors in 168 total attempts. The Bears had at least 20 kills in each of the last two sets, including a third set in which they had 21 kills and just two errors for a .538 hitting percentage in that frame.
