VB Prepares for Selection Sunday

WACO, Texas - Baylor's volleyball team will learn their postseason fate on Sunday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. CT during the NCAA Tournament selection show televised on ESPNU.Baylor is looking for its third-ever berth into the NCAA Tournament, and first since 2001. The Bears made the NCAAs twice in a span of three years after also being selected as an at-large team in 1999.
In 2009, the Bears have racked up the fourth-highest win total in program history with 22 total wins, and recorded only the second winning record in 14 years of Big 12 play at 11-9. Baylor opened the season with a school record 11 straight wins, and the best start in school history, winning 17 of the first 18 matches.
Baylor holds a 1-2 all-time record in the NCAA Tournament, with the lone win coming in a 3-1, first-round victory over Temple in 1999. The Bears were then swept by site-host Penn State in the second round. In 2001, Baylor dropped its first-round match to site-host Colorado State by a score of 3-1.
