Men's Tennis Loses in NCAA Doubles

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas - Baylor's doubles tandem of Jordan Rux and David Galic lost in the first round of the NCAA Men's Tennis Championships on Thursday at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center on the campus of Texas A&M.

The 18th-ranked Bear duo fell to second-seeded Davey Sandgren and John-Patrick Smith of Tennessee, 6-4, 6-2, in the round of 32. Galic, a senior, and Rux, a sophomore, end the 2008-09 season with a 13-8 mark.

Galic, a native of Frankston, Australia, finishes his four-year doubles career with an 80-47 mark. His 80 victories ranks No. 7 on Baylor's all-time career doubles list.
