WACO, Texas - Sophomore Torri Campbell had 12 kills and senior Elizabeth Graham had 10 to lead a Baylor sweep over Colorado (25-14, 25-23, 25-15) on Wednesday night at the Ferrell Center.

"We did a great job in two areas, not committing errors and serving them really tough," head coach Jim Barnes said. "We kept them off balance all night with our serving game. That showed that we were mentally in the game."

The Bears hit .296 (45-11-115) as a team, while holding Colorado to just a .137 (32-16-117) hitting percentage, on their way to a second consecutive Big 12 win. Campbell led the team with a .579 (12-1-19) to help the offense, while Ashley Byrd had five blocks and Graham added four to bolster the defense.

Baylor back-row defense also turned in a solid performance, averaging more than 20 digs per set for the second consecutive match. Caitlyn Trice continued her conference-leading season with 21 digs, marking her 22nd consecutive match with at least 10 and her 11th match with at least 20. Allison King added 13 digs, while Brittany Ridenour had 17 assists and 12 digs for her eighth double-double of the year.

Tied at 6-6 in the first, Baylor put on their first big run of the set with a 6-1 stretch that featured a kill and a block each by Graham and Briana Tolbert. After a kill by King pushed the score to 18-10, Baylor followed a Colorado point with a 4-0 run to put the set out of reach. Campbell had a kill and Kate Harris added a service ace during the span. After a block by Campbell and Byrd, King finished off the set with a service ace at 25-14.

The second set was one of back-and-forth runs for both teams. Baylor went up 9-7 with a 4-0 run including a kill by Qian Zhang and an ace by Campbell. After Baylor held the lead to 18-14, Colorado put on a 5-1 run to tie the score at 19-19. But, the Bears responded with a 4-0 including kills by Graham and Campbell for a 24-22 lead before Byrd finished it off with a kill, 25-23.

In the third, Baylor took control from the beginning with a 3-1 run on kills by Byrd and Campbell. A 5-0 run made the score 15-7. Then Baylor added a 4-0 run later in the set with kills by Graham and Byrd to make the score 19-12. A 3-0 run ended the night with a block by Tolbert and Campbell.

Baylor will be back on the court on Saturday, Oct. 30, when they travel to Oklahoma. The first serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
