WACO, Texas - Baylor's volleyball ran into a red-hot Missouri squad that beat the Bears 3-0 (23-25, 18-25, 22-25) on Saturday night at the Ferrell Center.

The Bears (15-14, 8-10) found themselves in a hole to start each of the first two sets, not holding a lead at any point until third set. Meanwhile, Missouri (20-9, 12-7) had five players that had between eight and 10 kills, hitting .195 to Baylor's .154.

Baylor's offense was led by Elizabeth Graham's 11 kills, the most by any player on the court. Sophomore Torri Campbell added nine and Briana Tolbert tallied eight kills, with both players hitting over .300 for the match.

Defensively, the Bears racked up 79 digs, including five players with at least 10. Senior Caitlyn Trice had a team-high 23, marking the 29th consecutive match with more than 10 and the 13th match of the season with more than 20 digs. Graham added a team-best five blocks, while Campbell three.

In the first set, Missouri set the tone for the night with a 5-0 run that was halted on a service error. The Bears scored four of the next six on kills by Graham and Campbell. Missouri then came back to extend the lead to as many as six at 19-13, but Baylor put on a 9-4 run to get back within one. Campbell had two kills during the run, while Graham added two kills and a block. After a kill by Zoe Adom brought the score to 24-23, Missouri closed it out with a kill by Julianna Klein, 25-23.

The second set started nearly the same as the first with the Tigers scoring the first four points. Graham and Briana Tolbert then capped a 5-2 run with kills to get BU back to within one at 12-11, but Missouri answered with a 6-1 run for a six-point lead. Baylor would get no closer than four the rest of the way, falling 25-18.

Baylor scored its first lead of the day in the third set at 4-3 after two Missouri errors, but the Tigers quickly took the lead back and built a 10-7 advantage. Adom then capped a 4-1 run with a kill to help BU pull within 15-14 before MU answered again to hold a 22-18 lead. After a MU service error, Tolbert and Campbell chalked up back-to-back kills to tie the score at 22-22. But, the Bears fate was sealed with a 3-0 run by the Tigers to end the set 25-22.

Baylor faces fifth-ranked Nebraska on the road on Wednesday, Nov. 24. The match in Lincoln, Neb., is slated for a 7 p.m. first serve.
