WACO, Texas - The Baylor men's basketball team and coaches will watch CBS' NCAA Basketball Championship Selection Show live Sunday, March 14, on the court of the Ferrell Center. Fans are invited to join the team, the Bear Pit and Baylor's cheerleaders for the viewing party, and the media is welcome to attend.
Baylor is expected to be featured on the national Selection Show telecast. Doors will open to the public at 4 p.m. CDT and fans will be treated to a short program at 4:40 p.m. before the 5 p.m. CBS telecast.
The selection show will be displayed on multiple large viewing screens, in addition to the Ferrell Center video boards and big-screen TVs. Concessions will be available for purchase.
Baylor, which finished the 2008-09 season as the NIT runner-up, has played in five previous NCAA Tournaments and is expected to make the field of 65 this season. In their last NCAA Tournament trip in 2008 as a No. 11 seed, the Bears lost to No. 6 seed Purdue, 90-79, in the first round in Washington, D.C.
The hour-long selection show, hosted by Greg Gumbel, Clark Kellogg and Seth Davis, follows the live telecast of the Big Ten Championship.
