MountainView Collegiate Second Round Results in PDF Format 
TUCSON, Ariz. - Hannah Burke and Lene Hafsten-Morch both shot five-over-par 149 to help the Baylor women's golf team to a tie for fifth place after the first two rounds of the MountainView Collegiate.
Burke (74-75) and Hafsten-Morch (74-75) are tied for 15th individually heading to Saturday's final round. The Lady Bears shot 302-298 for a 24-over score of 600. Baylor trails tournament-leader Texas Tech (19-over 595) by five strokes.
BYU (20-over 596) is in second, while UNLV (21-over 597) and Colorado State (21-over 597) are tied for third.
Chelsey Cothran (77-74) and Jaclyn Jansen (77-74) are tied for 23rd, while Karianne Hillaas (79-80) is in 75th. Baylor's Melanie White (75-77), who is playing as an individual, is tied for 30th.
Burke and Hafsten-Morch are three strokes behind the four players who are tied for the tournament lead at 2-over 146. Kelsey Vines of BYU, Kristen Schelling of UNLV, Kellye Belcher of Indiana and Julia Potter of Missouri all share the lead through the first 36 holes.
Baylor was tied for seventh after shooting 302 in the first round, but with a 298 in the second round, it passed San Jose State and Sacramento State to move into a tie for fifth with Iowa State. Baylor's second-round score was the second-best, trailing only Iowa State's 294.
The Lady Bears are looking for their fourth straight top-five finish of the spring and fifth overall. This weekend is the fifth time Baylor has played in the 12-year event hosted by Colorado, and the Lady Bears' best finish came in both 2000 and 2002 when they finished third. The Lady Bears finished 16th in 2008 - the last time they played in the MountainView Collegiate.
Play resumes with a 9:30 a.m. CDT shotgun start for Saturday's final round at MountainView Golf Club.
