WACO, Texas - Baylor men's basketball senior point guard Tweety Carter has been invited to compete in the 58th annual Portsmouth Invitational, which allows 64 of the nation's college basketball seniors to showcase their talents in front of NBA and international scouts.
This year's Portsmouth Invitational will take place April 7-10 at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Va. The participating seniors are grouped into eight teams of eight players. The teams then play a double-elimination tournament over a four-day span.

Also on the team are Old Dominion's Gerald Lee, Wake Forest's Chas McFarland, Western Kentucky's A.J. Slaughter, Southern Indiana's Jamar Smith and Rider's Ryan Thompson.
Norfolk Sports Club will open the tournament against Tidewater Sealants Wednesday at 6 p.m. CDT. Fans can purchase tickets to the event for $10 per night or $30 for the entire tournament.
Carter averaged 15.0 points and a Big 12-best 5.9 assists in 32 games, leading Baylor (28-8) to its first Elite 8 appearance in the modern tournament era and a No. 10 ranking in the final ESPN/USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll.
