THE TOP FIVE

- Baylor will play the third of three consecutive top-10 opponents to open the Big 12 schedule. The stretch is the toughest since the Bears played four consecutive ranked opponents from Nov. 10-21, 2007. BU lost all four matches during that span, including five-set losses to No. 12 Kansas State and No. 22 Oklahoma, then sweeps by No. 3 Texas and No. 2 Nebraska.

- Baylor is ranked in the top six in the Big 12 in nearly every major statistical category, while leading the league in digs with 953 (only team over 800) and digs per set with 18.49 (2.72 more than all Big 12 teams). Individually, libero Caitlyn Trice has recorded 62 more digs than anyone in the Big 12 with 269, while having a league-leading 5.72 digs per set.

- The Bears are also making their presence felt in the top-50 national rankings this week. As a team, Baylor is ranked third in the NCAA in digs per set at 18.49, while ranking 46th nationally in assists per set at 12.64. Individually, Caitlyn Trice is ranked seventh overall with 5.72 digs per set, while Elizabeth Graham checks in at No. 11 in blocks per set with 1.45.

- Libero Caitlyn Trice has been a force in the back row for Baylor, tying the four-set match record for digs twice this season. The senior is the full-time libero for the first time in her career and has recorded double-digit digs in all 13 matches, over 20 digs in eight and over 30 digs in four. She had 32 in five sets against UNI and TCU, and 31 in four sets against SMU and Dayton.

- Baylor is 1-23 all-time against top-10 opponents under Barnes. The lone win came in the NCAA Tournament in 2009, defeating No. 9 UCLA to earn the program's first-ever Sweet 16 berth.
