- Boyd ran his 12th-ranked and career-best 400-meter time of 46.29 last weekend at Arkansas, while Randall did the same in the 60 meters with a career-best time of 6.65 to rank in a tie for 14th.
- Freshman Tiffani McReynolds will enter the weekend ranked fifth in the 60-meter hurdles after the winning the Big 12 title in the event. McReynolds automatically qualified for the championships field with her career-best time of 8.11.
- Baylor's 4x400-meter relay team has the fifth-best time in the NCAA coming into the meet, and will be looking for their fifth-consecutive All-American honor and fourth national title in the last five seasons.
- Triple jumper Jessica Ubanyionwu and shot putter Skylar White will enter the weekend ranked ninth. Ubanyionwu's best triple jump of the season is 43 feet, 2.25 inches, while White has a school-record, season-best toss of 55-8.25 to her credit.
