KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Baylor senior LaceDarius Dunn and freshman Perry Jones III were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I All-District 8 first and second teams, respectively, Wednesday. It marks the second consecutive season that Baylor has multiple NABC All-District selections.

Dunn, who became both the Baylor and Big 12 career scoring leader this season, is only the second first-team NABC All-District pick in the Scott Drew era. The first-team All-Big 12 performer leads the league in scoring (19.8) and 3-point field goals made (3.26/game), while ranking third in free throw percentage (82.7). The Monroe, La., native has already claimed the Baylor career records for scoring, 3-point field goals made, games played and wins. He needs three treys to become the Big 12's career 3-point leader.

Jones III, a finalist for the Wayman Tisdale Award given to the nation's top freshman, is the first Baylor freshman to earn NABC honors since Lawrence Roberts (second team) in 2002. The second-team All-Big 12 performer leads all Big 12 freshmen in scoring (13.9) and field goal percentage (54.9).

Members of the All-District 8 first team were Dunn, Marcus Morris (Kansas), Jordan Hamilton (Texas), Alec Burks (Colorado) and Tristan Thompson (Texas). Joining Jones III on the second team were Marcus Denmon (Missouri), Jacob Pullen (Kansas State), Khris Middleton (Texas A&M), Markieff Morris (Kansas).

The NABC Division I All-District teams recognize the nation's best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes.

Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America. The 245 student-athletes, from 24 districts, are eligible for the State Farm Coaches' Division I All-America teams, to be announced on Saturday, April 2, at 8:30 a.m. (CDT) at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Houston during the NABC Convention and NCAA ® Final Four ®.

About the National Association of Basketball Coaches
Located in Kansas City, Mo., the NABC was founded in 1927 by Forrest "Phog" Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game. The NABC currently claims nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches. All members of the NABC are expected to uphold the core values of being a Guardian of the Game by bringing attention to the positive aspects of the sport of basketball and the role coaches play in the academic and athletic lives of today's student-athletes. The four core values of being a Guardian of the Game are advocacy, leadership, service and education. Additional information about the NABC, its programs and membership, can be found at www.nabc.com.
