THE RUNDOWN
- Baylor returns a total of 19 All-Big 12 performers from the 2010 Big 12 Outdoor Championships, including two members of the men's 4x100-meter relay team, Marcus Boyd and Whitney Prevost. BU's men placed fifth, while the women were eighth.
- Counting all the points from each relay, Baylor returns 59 of 62 points from last season's eighth-place women's squad, and 43 of 63 points from last season's fifth-place men's squad. At least half of the members of all four relays return.
- Baylor owns two marks that rank at the top of the conference in the women's 100-meter hurdles with Tiffani McReynolds (12.74) and the men's javelin with Nick Lyons (257-2). McReynolds is also ranked No. 1 in the nation.
- Baylor has a total of 16 individual marks ranked among the nation's top 20 heading into the weekend. Of those marks, 11 are ranked in the top 10 among NCAA competitors. The team also has 15 marks ranked in the top three in the Big 12.
- Gradually moving up the NCAA team rankings this season, Baylor's women are ranked ninth and the men are ranked 13th. From the Big 12, nine women's teams and eight men's teams are among the national top 25.
- BU has seen three school records fall and another tied this outdoor season. Tiffani McReynolds (100mH - 12.74), Skylar White (Shot Put - 56-3.75) and Nick Lyons (Javelin 257-2) own records, while Woodrow Randall (100m - 10.13) tied one.
- Baylor has won a total of 28 individual titles this outdoor season. The Bears won a season-high eight at their own Michael Johnson/Dr Pepper Classic, and added four more prestigious Drake Relays titles in their final regular season competition.
- Earlier this season, Tiffani McReynolds added to her growing list of accomplishments when she was named the Big 12 Track Athlete of the Week. That week, McReynolds won the Texas Relays 100-meter hurdles with an NCAA-leading time of 12.74.
- Among Big 12 teams in the national rankings, Baylor's women are the third highest, checking in at No. 9 behind only Texas A&M and Oklahoma. The men are ranked the fifth highest at No. 13, behind TAMU, Texas Tech, Texas and Nebraska.
- This spring, head coach Todd Harbour added three signees to an already strong recruiting class. The class now totals 17, including 10 women and seven men.
