IRVING, Texas- For the second consecutive year, Baylor's volleyball team was picked to finish sixth in the 2011 Big 12 Preseason Poll, conference officials announced Wednesday.
Baylor garnered 30 total points in the preseason poll of the league's head coaches, just two points behind fifth-place Missouri. Texas was picked to win the Big 12 for the third time in the last four seasons, earning seven first-place votes. Iowa State earned the remaining two first-place votes and tied with Oklahoma for second in the poll with 53 points. Texas A&M was picked fourth at 43 points, ahead of Missouri and Baylor.
Led by preseason All-Big 12 selection Torri Campbell, Baylor will look to improve on its 16-15 overall record and 9-11 Big 12 mark.
