WACO - Down 2-1, Baylor (15-7, 2-5) came roaring back to win the final two sets, including a dramatic fifth for a 3-2 (25-21, 21-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-13) victory over TCU before a crowd of 1,046 Wednesday night at the Ferrell Center.

"We struggled all night to really get something going," head coach Jim Barnes said. "We got it turned around in the fourth with our defense, digging and blocking, and finally pulled it out in the end."

The Bears got a lift from sophomore Tori Cox, who had been redshirting until being placed in the starting lineup.

"Tori had been doing so well in practice and we needed some help on our left side," Barnes said. "We still aren't where we need to be, but I believe we have the people to get there."

Alyssa Dibbern recorded a career high 21 kills on the night, while Torri Campbell added 14 and Zoe Adom pitched in 10. Cox picked up nine in her debut. Kate Harris totaled 53 assists to go with 20 digs, a season-best, giving the senior 11 double-doubles in 2012.

Defensively, the Bears had five players with 13-plus digs, led by Harris' 20. Kayci Evans, Hope Ogden and Thea Munch-Soegaard each dug 18 and Mackenzie Mayo registered 13. Adri Nora's six blocks led a Baylor blocking attack that totaled 12.

Despite being outhit .207 to .174 in the match, including four of the five sets, Baylor picked up its third-five-set victory of the year.

The Bears never trailed in the opening set, getting six kills from Dibbern and four from Cox in her first set of the year for a 25-21 win.

TCU answered back with a pair of 25-21 wins in sets two and three to take a 2-1 lead. Baylor's block managed just three during the two-set span, as the Horned Frogs hit .229 in each game.

The Bears comeback would be sparked by defense and a pair of seniors, Dibbern and Campbell. The duo combined for eight and seven kills, respectively, in the last two sets and BU earned seven of its 12 blocks in the final pair.

Baylor allowed just one run of more than two points from TCU in the fourth, trailing only twice in the set. The Bears would grab a 7-6 advantage and never look back, collecting five blocks and 24 digs in the stanza for a 25-19 win to tie the match.

TCU jumped out to a 7-3 lead in the fifth, but the Bears battled it to a 9-9 tie, forcing a Frogs timeout. Following a Baylor timeout, and with TCU leading 13-12, the Horned Frogs made the crucial mistake of the match with seven players on the court at once when the serve was made. The error cost TCU a point, evening the set at 13 all before BU would close out the match with two straight points, the final coming on a kill from Campbell.

"I have never seen that happen in all my years," Barnes said.

Baylor will remain home to face West Virginia (8-13, 0-7) on Sat., Oct. 20 at the rescheduled time of 2 pm at the Ferrell Center.
