MORGANTOWN, W. Va.- Thanks to a 15-kill effort from Zoe Adom, Baylor (18-10, 5-8) picked up its first road win of the Big 12 season with a sweep of West Virginia (8-19, 0-13) Saturday afternoon at WVU Coliseum. The victory snapped a six-match road losing streak for the Bears.

"This was a great road win with a great effort," head coach Jim Barnes said. "Our serve game really stepped up today and anytime you can get a win on the road in the Big 12, you take it."

Baylor hit .309 in the match, its second time hitting over .300 in Big 12, with both coming against the Mountaineers.

Zoe Adom led the way with 15 kills, as nine came in the final set. The junior now has eight-straight matches with double-digit kills. Thea Munch-Soegaard had her second-straight double-digit performance with 11 kills, eight in the first two sets.

Kate Harris (40 assists, 10 digs) recorded her 15th double-double, while Hope Ogden led with 15 digs and Munch-Soegarrd picked up her fifth double-double with 13.

Baylor grinded out a 25-23 win in the opening set despite four service errors. The Bears held a five-point advantage (14-9) midway through the first set. Three consecutive kills from Arielle Allen tied the set at 16, forcing a Baylor timeout. With WVU ahead 19-18, BU reeled off four-straight points on the serve of Munch-Soegaard for a 22-19 advantage and Alyssa Dibbern finished off the set with a kill for the win.

The Bears wasted no time putting the second set away, swinging .419 with just two errors en route to a 25-12 win. Baylor's lead stretched by as many as 15 (22-7), as seven different players recorded a kill and three of BU's four team blocks occurred in the game.

"The way we fought through the first set led to the way we played in game two," Barnes said. "Three of our final four games are away from home and we need this positive performance moving forward."

Adom turned on beast mode in the final set, totaling nine kills on 10 swings and hitting .800 to lead Baylor to a 25-16 win in the third. The Bears swung .371 as a squad and closed the set on an 11-2 run. TIed at 14, BU's offense kicked in to high gear, closing the set with nine kills and just two errors the rest of the way.

Baylor will play its second-straight road match at TCU on Wed., Nov. 14 at 5 pm. The match can be seen live on Fox Sports Southwest.
