STORYLINES
• Baylor will have a total of 11 entries in the field at the NCAA €ˆOutdoor Championships in Des Moines, Iowa. The Baylor women have a total of six entries with three on the track and three in the field, while the men have five track entries.
• Baylor junior Everett Walker earned a national berth in three events at the NCAA €ˆWest Preliminary Rounds. He qualified ninth in the 100 meters (10.28), fifth in the 200 (20.54) and seventh as part of the 4x100-meter relay (39.49).
• Baylor also has four more competitors that will compete in at least two events, including Diamond Richardson (400m, 4x400), Skylar White (Shot Put, Discus), Zwede Hewitt (400m, 4x400), and Blake Heriot (4x100, 4x400).
• Baylor broke four school records this outdoor season, including Everett Walker in the 100 meters (10.12), Christina Holland in the 400 hurdles (56.87), Skylar White in the discus (189-2) and Erin Atkinson in the hammer throw (204-1).
• As a team, Baylor has combined to win a total of 35 individual events during the outdoor season. The BU €ˆwomen have claimed 21 with seven coming from Skylar White in the throws, while the men have won 14 with six coming in relay races.
• Junior Skylar White won four of seven shot put competitions, won three of eight discus competitions, earned Big 12 Athlete of the Week honors and broke the school discus record this season. She now owns three school records (I/O €ˆshot put).
• Baylor's women placed fourth and the men were sixth at the Big 12 Outdoor Championship in Manhattan, Kan., this season BU €ˆcombined for a total of 11 top-three finishes, but zero individual titles at the conference meet.
• Baylor totaled 39 all-Big 12 honors at the league championship, coming from a total of 24 competitors who placed in their respective event's top eight. Baylor's women garnered 20, while the men posted 19.
• In the classroom, Baylor had a record year with a total of 41 on the Academic All-Big 12 teams, including 25 on the women's side and 16 more on the men's side. Of those 41, 13 earned the honor for at least the second time.
• Baylor is without the services of three-time Big 12 champ and €ˆAll-American hurdler Tiffani McReynolds, who suffered a leg injury at the Michael Johnson Classic in Waco on April 21.
